Što kuhati danas?

Najlakše mi je dobiti ideju kada imam neku neobičnu namirnicu u frižideru. Tu se ideja rađa. S obzirom da ne volim bacati hranu, znači da je moram brzo potrošiti s toga moram naći neki recept na način da ga podrže svi u kući. Najvažniji je osmijeh onih koji jedu tu hranu. Osobito djeca. Jer to znači da imamo novu zanimljivu namirnicu koju zasigurno možemo i dalje kombinirat u objedu.

Many people do not put fresh garlic in salads because it falls hard on their stomach. But garlic is healthy and gives an excellent note to this dish. So I figured out a way to cook it in wine and olive oil so it wouldn’t be raw and too strong. Be sure to give it a try if you belong to a group that doesn’t like raw garlic. It is a natural antibiotic and they say it does not lose its quality by cooking.

Ingredients:

- 1kg of octopus  giant squid,or mussel legs
- olive oil
- salt, pepper
- fresh parsley
- garlic
- potatoes

Healthy meal habits for kids

Često me pitaju poznanici sa djecom kako nagovorim svoju djecu da jedu zdravo.
Neki od mojih iskustva su:

  • da ne treba ni imati u kući hranu koja nije zdrava, jednostavno je nemojte kupovati
  • da budete svojoj djeci primjer i da jedete isto što i oni
  • da učinite hranu zanimljivom
  • da svaki dan osvješćujete djete što je dobro da jedu i da će time postići veće uspjehe bilo na sportskom ili intelektualnom planu.

Breakfast at my House

During the week we’re often walking out the door with a coffee in one hand and slice of toast in the other, but on weekends breakfast is never rushed. It’s a late affair, sometimes spilling over to lunch, with lots of reading and chatter in between courses of fruits, poached eggs, honey and toast. One of our favorite things we like to serve when friends are visiting are buckwheat blueberry pancakes.
